On September 28th, we met with Oliver twice. Once in the early morning hours to record a reimagined "God Bless the Child" by Billie Holiday on a space-y Stratocaster and once again after dark to chug along on a Maton to Jim Croce's upbeat, folk classic, "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown". Oliver's undeniable soul shines through on both of these intimate covers, all the way up to the final chord.
